OnePlus 3 Does support OTG

I have been seeing many posts or queries regarding OTG support for OnePlus 3. So i decided to test it using the OTG adapter, I went ahead and ordered OnePlus-USB-Type-C-Adapter. Before connecting the OTG you need to enable the OTG support in OnePlus 3 ( By default it comes as disabled).

Follow Below steps to Enabled OTG in OnePlus 3
1.Go to Settings
2.Click on Storage & USB
3.Click the 3 Dots on top right corner
4.Click on Enable OTG

Now that the OTG is enabled i went ahead and connected the OTG using the adapter from OnePlus, but it didn't work, i tried all possible ways to make it work but it was in vain. After searching Internet i found that the OTG adapter was made for OnePlus 2 and it wont support the latest flagship. What we need is USB 3.1 Type-C OTG to make it work.

I ordered one from amazon Click to Buy and my pen drive was detected without any issue.

iota Lite LED Smart Bulb Review

My review on the iota Lite LED Smart Bulb which i have purchased through Flip-kart. Below are the features/ Specifications on the same.

  • 500 Lumens
  • Bluetooth v4.0
  • LED Technology
  • TI Processor
  • Range: 15 m
It is a smart led light which can be lit in one of the 16 million colors using Bluetooth (download an app called lite in your smart phone). It comes with pre configured modes like (Study mode, Party mode, candle etc.)
It comes with a Screw connector which is not common in India so iota is providing an adapter which can be used to connect to Indian pin connector.

Below are my observations about the smart bulb
  • Connecting to Bluetooth is simple, just need to download the app and you are good to go.
  • If you are thinking it can replace the main bulb in your house you are wrong, this can be used as a reading bulb (7W)
  • No pure white light, all you get is yellow ( which is quite annoying atleast for me)
  • It has got a notifications ( for calls, msg. etc) which works very well
  • You can sync it to the music ( need to download a separate app)
  • Can change the intensity of the brightness
  • Only the Yellow color is bright, all other are quite Dim even at maximum intensity.

Functionality wise this is quite good for the price( I got it for 1500Rs) way too cheap than Philips hue.

OnePlus Icons slated for sale on Amazon India

Unlike its smartphones, you can buy the OnePlus Icons earphones without standing in a virtual line or needing an invite.
A musical experience unlike any other - OnePlus Icons will soon be available on Amazon from Monday, 30th November.

Be it during a long journey or a morning jog or even while you are sitting through a boring class, with the OnePlus icons you will always enjoy listening to your favourite tracks.

The actual earphones are held in place by two small cylinders, one bigger than the other, which connect the earphone to the audio cable. Up until the point where the right and left cables join, they’re coated in the usual, flimsy plastic insulation. Between the metal-casing on the audio jack and where the R/L cables join, the cable is wrapped in a more durable fabric. There’s also an inline microphone with volume up/down buttons as well as a play/pause button. The OnePlus Icons come in either silver or gold finishes.

Raspberry Pi Zero sells out within 24 hours

The UK-based educational nonprofit released a new, tiny computer on Thursday for $5, the Raspberry Pi Zero, and sold out of it online within a day.
Raspberry Pi even gave away 10,000 devices for free with a copy of its December magazine, The MagPi. Issues of the magazine are now sold out too.

The Raspberry Pi Zero is smaller than a mustard packet and light.
To use it, you'll have to add your own monitor, keyboard, power source and data storage, via a micro-SD card slot.
It has 1-GHz processor and 512 megabytes of RAM, it packs as much computing power as the iPhone 4. There's even a mini-HDMI socket so you can play HD videos.

The Pi Zero, priced at just £4 (or $5), is essentially just a cheaper and smaller version of the Raspberry Pi 1 Model A+. It has the same Broadcom SoC (but the CPU is clocked at 1GHz rather than 700MHz) and lacks a 3.5mm audio jack, but is otherwise almost identical. The main difference, of course, is the price, the Pi Zero is about a third of the price of a Model A+.

Instagram is testing support for multiple accounts

The new Instagram app version 7.12.0 on Android might begin supporting multiple accounts on one device which itself is only available for Android beta testers and can be found by scrolling all the way to the bottom of settings.

In case you did receive the update, then you should see an “Add Account” option under the “Clear Search History” option on the settings list. This basically means that you can now add or create another account to use simultaneously with your present account already logged in.
